Strictly tastewise eras 0810 (2008-2010) and 1114 (2011-2014) weren't that different from each other. From 2010 until the operator pulled the plug in early 2016, I listened a lot to Laid Back Radio, which was in the same vein as FIP, Nova, DJ Lefto and similar sources.

It was hosted at Radionomy, a platform to host your own internet station - basically - for free. I tuned in to many other Radionomy stations as well; mostly small amateur stations. Names: AlternativeRadio, Bolz, DoubleXX and many others.

Besides this, I used the platform to stream my own radio station (2011-2016). Format: late 80s until early 00s - fairly poppy, but with an edge. A self-made jingle package, created in Audacity, was included.

Alongside internet radio, I used 22Tracks to discover new music. During the early 2010s it was very popular. I saved my favorite songs by using Total Recorder.

From the mid-2010s onward my musical taste became, on average, a bit darker, featuring more guitar sounds. It had been gaining traction since the mid-2000s already, but now it has become more prevalent in relatively recent favorites as well. Since then, my taste in music has stayed pretty much the same.

Compared to the latter half of the 2000s and the first half of the 2010s, I'm a bit more enjoying contemporary music in general, which is different from music that's merely 'new to me'.

Radio stations I discovered during this period: many, but relatively big ones are BBC 6 Music and Byte FM. And in general I discovered the stations belonging to the French Ferarock and Campus FM chains (Radio Béton, for example) - but those are small local stations. In the meanwhile, Radionomy pulled the plug entirely.

In 2016/2017 I frequently listened to the shows of Mr. Leenknecht (nowadays called 'Letterknecht'), originally broadcast on the Belgian station Bruzz. This Spotify playlist is a 2016 compilation. You can find more on the same account.

It happened gradually. During the 2010s, the smartphone became part of the picture and Spotify entered my life. In the latter half of the 2010s I also started listening to talk radio, talk podcasts, Mixcloud streams and other on-demand stuff.
